Thanks for posting this Barb. I shout a loud “AMEN” to you stating, “It is exciting to have another pastor who is taking a stand to promote discussion and education in the church on the subject of domestic abuse.”
I hope Pastor Jeff Crippen, Pastor Sam Powell and others will be encouraged as more in leadership join them in the battle.

  4. Wow, thanks Barbara. Thanks to everyone else as well. I really appreciate the support.

I’m older and new to blogs. …what does “following” a blog mean? I think I want to follow this blog as well as having it on my facebook newsfeed.

    • Hi, dear sister, welcome to the blog!🙂

Our helper TWBTC (the woman behind the curtain) can coach you in how to follow this blog if my guidance here is not enough. You can email her at twbtc.acfj@gmail.com

When you ‘follow’ a blog, that means you are sent a notification any time there is a new post at that blog. I hope you use email, because that is the easiest way to follow our blog. If you look in the sidebar of this blog and scroll down a fair bit, you will see a place where it says:

      Follow Blog via Email

Enter your email address to follow this blog and receive notifications of new posts by email.

      Join 4,534 other followers

      Enter your email address

The words ‘enter your email address’ are in a little white box. A box like that is known as a ‘field’. Type your email address into that field and then click on the word ‘Follow’ below that field.

You will then receive an email from our blog. I think it will ask you to click on a link (a blue underlined bit of text) to confirm that you want to follow our blog. Click on that link, and you’re done!

By the way, I changed your screen name for your safety. It is not wise to use your real name if you are in any way at risk from an abuser.

We always like to encourage new readers to check out our New Users Info page as it gives tips for how to guard your safety while commenting on the blog.

And if you want us to change your screen name to something else, just email TWBTC .
