A Cry For Justice

Awakening the Evangelical Church to Domestic Violence and Abuse in its Midst

You are near in their mouth and far from their heart

A Lament

Righteous are you, O LORD,
when I complain to you;
yet I would plead my case before you.

Why does the way of the wicked prosper?
Why do all who are treacherous thrive?

You plant them, and they take root;
they grow and produce fruit;
you are near in their mouth
and far from their heart.

(Jeremiah 12:1-2 ESV)

There are souls that, crablike, crawl continually toward darkness, going backward in life rather than advancing, using their experience to increase their deformity, growing continually worse, and becoming steeped more and more thoroughly in an intensifying viciousness. — Victor Hugo, Les Miserables.

    What an apt description of a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Say the right Christian things, but act without any sting of conscience.

    I’ve met these crabs. And they try to pull us into the darkness with them.

    This is from the Bible, Jeremiah. This how I feel, the Evil people always win in life, comes from the Bible so must be true.

    My life experiences have shown this Bible verse to be true.

    Anti-h lies, break rules, is deceptive, hoards money, accuses, lives generously towards himself. Just yesterday I asked my friend “why does God allow him to prosper?!” She said, “he might prosper now, but not in the end.”

    I know how it feels to see the wicked prosper and it still confounds me. However I also know that there will be a time when God will judge their wicked ways.
