A Cry For Justice

Awakening the Evangelical Church to Domestic Violence and Abuse in its Midst

A Follow Up to Our Prayers for IamMyBeloved’s- Please Keep Praying

This is an update and thank you from IamMyBeloved’s who, you will recall, has been the target of not only an abuser but of an unscrupulous attorney who is trying to foreclose on her home after he ran up an exorbitant bill against her during the divorce. Please keep praying for her and her children, that the Lord will bring this evil to light and enable them to keep the home. Some of you have sent funds to her through us and we have forwarded them to her. She writes:

I am writing to say “thank you” so very much for the generosity of spirit you have all demonstrated toward me and the gifts you have given to me. I cannot express my deep gratitude for all you have done for me. I know this giving was sacrificial. God’s timing is perfect!

I would ask that you continue to pray for us as I continue this ongoing battle with the ex attorney. He continues to threaten to displace us, but I am ever so confident that the Lord is hearing all our prayers and will soon answer. I have had to take additional steps this week, but I would ask that you pray for closure of this and release for me and my family. Pray that all investigating this would have their eyes opened by God and that truth would prevail. His Word says that no weapon fashioned against us shall prosper and every tongue that rises against us in judgment we shall condemn and refute. I believe this and continue to pray this over my circumstances. We know God is faithful and there is nothing impossible with Him.
Please also pray for continued strength for myself. My battle has raged for six straight years now with abuse for decades before that. I am tired. I also need to have quicker bounces back from the triggers I experience in all of this.
Abuse is a long road to recovery for victims and I will also remain praying for all of you as you take this journey. Where would any of us be without Jeff, Barb and this blog which has been used so incredibly by God in all our lives. Glory be to God for Him using these people in our lives in such a beautiful way. Who else do we know that we have never met, who support, help guide us and love us like these people do? Thank you again so very much. I believe we will all meet each other in Heaven one day. Sort of like the ending of Les Mis.
My love and prayers to all of you, always~

Keeping up the prayers for you Iamybeloved.
I also at one point had unscrupulous lawyers that had to be replaced.
Because I would not see things their way.
(- I would not assume the “under the bus position”).
I am glad you are doing what you can, and God will bless your efforts.

Please pray for me. I am defending myself against my narcissistic, atheistic ex husband and his atheistic, evil lawyer who had taken me to court 3 x in 2 months, making frivolous motions in order to antagonize me, wear me down and cost me a lot of money.

    • I will pray.

Praying for you too MSC. Lord, please deliver this woman from her oppressors and protect her from the evil and harm that the enemy is directing towards her. Amen.

I am thankful for the update.I have continued to pray for you and have wondered how things were going. Will be praying for God to expose the greedy heart of that lawyer and for the court system and earthly powers that be, to have their hearts and favor turned in mercy and compassion toward you and your children

Thank you for this update. I will continue to pray! God is good and He is able!!! I too battled an unscrupulous lawyer (though not nearly as wicked as yours). It’s an unbelievable betrayal to have the person (a professional no less) you are paying and trusting to help you escape abuse, end up abusing you as well. Lord, please reveal all the lies and evil in this situation and help this family escape, and even prosper, despite the evil that has been perpetrated against them. Amen.

To update, all these months later, the Lord’s favor has made itself manifest and the attorney has stated he will release this Judgment and lien on my home. It should happen in the next few weeks. Thank God I am free, yes, free at last. Thank you to all for your prayers for me and my family. May God return the same portion to all of you, as we walk the journey to our freedom. Blessings, IamMyBeloved’s

IamMyBeloved’s, I’m so grateful to hear this!

I’ve thought of you many times since Pastor Crippen posted about this (and prayed for you) and I’m so glad that you brought this to light—that an attorney could “legally” do this. There are simply so many vulnerable people like us out there that it was simply sickening to hear what he had done–what I’m sure many others do as well.

If there’s ever a time in the future (maybe once you’ve officially and legally been redeemed from this)….could you share more with us here, in order to help us avoid the same thing or help someone else who may be dealing with this?

Even if it’s not all at once, bits and pieces and what you can handle at the time or what you feel God wants you to share.

Again, I’m so grateful to read this and so glad it was addressed….forewarned is forearmed in things of this nature.

      Wonderful news! God answers prayer!

      • I second that! Wonderful news that the wicked lawyer who was trying to steal IamMyBeloved’s house has been put down!
